Stabler, Patch, Spinal Tap, Ratched, NoIDeer and Skynyrd logged 2.4 miles during EC. At 0530, we were greeted by 8 more PAX and the mumblechatter was high with the excitement of the new siteQ over at WestSide… Pulp. Quick disclaimer and began the beatdown…

YHC began the “Choose Your Own Adventure” series at WestSide and it was time for another reading but YHC informed the PAX that he was going to switch things up a bit today with it being a special day as SiteQ handoff. Instead of different PAX choosing the chapters, our new siteQ, Pulp, would choose each chapter. Pulp wanted the first chapter to be the baseball field in which Deep Dish said… “never the baseball field… that is always a bad chapter!”

At the baseball field PAX lined up on the third base line and YHC chose two captains; Fruity Pebbles and NoIDeer. Captains chose their teams and YHC let the teams know the challenge. Each player would start at home plate and bearcrawl to the outfield foul pole (300ft) and then run back to home plate. Other PAX would People’s Chair until it was their turn to bearcrawl. Winning team- 5 burpees and Losing team- 5 burpees.

For the next chapter, Pulp chose the grassy knoll near the flag. Once we got to the flag, PAX would partner up for a round of BearCrawl 1-2-3. As a team, PAX would perform; 100 merkins, 200 LBCs and 300 squats. While partner A started with the exercises, partner B would bearcrawl 30 yards and then crawlbear back to their partner. Partners would flapjack until all exercises were completed.

Next chapter, Pulp chose the Pain Ground. At the Pain Ground, PAX would again partner up (same partner) and perform the following exercises; 25 pull-ups, 50 swerkins, 75 step-ups (one was one) and 100 dips. While partner A started the exercises, partner B would run to the flag and back. Partners would flapjack until all exercises were completed.

Running short on time, YHC knew another full chapter could not be completed in time so I called an audible and headed to the parking lot. YHC got the PAX back into their baseball teams with each team having about 30 yards of curb. PAX would perform “wounded bear” which is basically a bearcrawl where one arm and one leg is on the curb while the other arm and leg is on ground. 30 yard wounded bear then come back so both sides of the body got some love on the curb.

Close to 0615 so YHC had Pulp lead a Mary. Instead of leading, he called on Spinal Tap so the PAX got 2min of flutter kicks…another bad choice by Pulp ;) 0615 was upon us so COT…

Moleskin

Special thanks to NoIDeer for his leadership over the past year to help continue to build on the good things here at WestSide. And he chose a great person to hand things off to in Pulp. YHC feels confident that he will do great things and if he slacks off, Kool Aid will be right there to give him a swift kick in the butt! Until next time…
