EC Ruck – Patch and Fruity Pebbles
YHC and Fruity Pebbles cooked up a deal about a month ago that he would Q the Clydesdales and then YHC would Q West Side during the same week. YHC loves to Q at West Side! It has to be one of the most diverse AO’s in all of F3ENC. There are so many options like the football field, the baseball field, the playground, two parking lots, and a nice “track” around the building. YHC had been thinking about this Q for about a week or so, and YHC wanted to take some things from Bono’s Q school the other week. He mentioned something that he does is he looks through the “routines” in the exicon, and tailors the workout around that routine. YHC went to the exicon, got some ideas, and the weinke was created! It went something like this:
- SSH – 10 – IC
- Merkins – 10 – IC
- Good Mornings – 10 – IC
- 3/4 lap around the building, ending in the drive through around in between the two buildings
Fruity introduced YHC to the BTTW get up yesterday at #TheClydesdales (#bestAOatthestadiumonthursdays), BTTW get ups are when you get in BTTW position, and then out of the position and return to your feet, that equals one rep. YHC wanted to incorporate them a little today, but with a Chimi-twist.
First we did 7s
- Chicken Pecker Get Ups (BTTW, two shoulder taps, stand up, repeat)
- Lunges – 2 is 1
Mosey to the grassy area by the flag for a not so quick game of RoShamBurpee. YHC instructed the PAX to partner up and get in two lines across from each other (partners would face each other). With an odd number of PAX, YHC joined with Grout and Patch, and having 3 in the group proved to be very unlucky (you will find out later). All PAX would get in chill-cut plank position. Everyone would play a game of Rock, Paper, Scissors against their partner with YHC calling out the countdown. The winning partner would get to do 1 merkin. The losing partner would get to do 1 burpee. IF there was a tie, both had to do burpees. In case with the 3-man group, there were instances where each would throw a different hand, and YHC would beat Patch, Patch would beat Grout, and Grout would beat YHC. In this case, we all did burpees. We did 10 rounds of this, with the reps for merkins/burpees increasing with the round number (round 1 = 1 burpee/merkin, round 2 = 2 burpees/merkins etc). This was a lot of fun, and Cousin IT, Grout, and YHC ended up doing A LOT of burpees during this portion of the workout.
Next, we moseyed to the baseball field for a round of Field of Dreams. Once we arrived at the baseball field, we counted off by 4’s. 1’s would start off at 1st base and do AMRAP Squats until relieved. 2’s at Second base doing AMRAP Merkins until relieved. 3’s at 3rd base doing AMRAP WWII’s until relieved. And 4’s would start off at home plate and do 15 burpees (modified to 10 after the first group for sake of time), and then run to first base to relieve the PAX there. We continued this until all PAX completed their burpees.
After the Field of Dreams, we moseyed back to the flag and circled up for some Howlin’ Monkeys! All PAX would get in the Monkey Humper position. First person would do 10 Monkey Humpers, followed by the next person, and so on. PAX were required to stay in the Monkey Humper position the entire time and could not let go of their ankles. We did two rounds of this, and the mumblechatter really got going on that second round.
Next we did 1 round of circle burpees followed by various Mary Exercises

As YHC mentioned before, Qing at West Side is a lot of fun. Posting at West Side is a lot of fun as well, but YHC has been fart sacking on Friday’s a lot lately, but that will change. YHC has been under a lot of stress lately with work, but coming out and working out with my brothers from F3 is a major stress reliever. YHC is sure you know someone that could really use the benefits of F3. Reach out to them and HL that FNG! Until next time…
