Stern asked me to Q Build Up awhile back and YHC jumped at the opportunity as BLP has a ton of workout options and numbers there are always high. Stern also reminded me that it was going to be National 7 Eleven Day so a good theme would work well. YHC loves a good slushee and there is no better place to get a slushee than at 7-Eleven. Unfortunately, there was no 7-Eleven in sight over at BLP so when the PAX started to arrive a little before 5:30am, YHC told them that we would run to Sheetz to get a slushee or get a beatdown at BLP that would turn our arms into slushees. PAX chose the beatdown, 5:30 was here and the beatdown began;

Warm Up

Good Mornings (IC) x 7

SSH (IC) x11

Michael Phelps (IC) x7

Mountain Climbers (IC) x11

The Thang

One lap around BLP. At each intersection, PAX would perform 7 Burpees and 11 low/slow squats. 4 intersections for a total of 28 burpees and 44 squats. Like Button decided to add a little bit to his run by leapfrogging each wooden post as he passed. Plank for the six.

After last intersection, moseyed over to the softball field nearest to the picnic shelter. Starting at home plate, bear crawled to each base and performed the following exercises;

1st Base- 7 Merkins

2nd Base- 7 Wide Arm Merkins

3rd Base- 7 Diamond Merkins

Home Plate- 7 Catalina Wine Mixer

PAX would rinse and repeat but would perform the following exercises, this time lunging to the bases;

1st Base- 11 LBCs

2nd Base- 11 WW2s

3rd Base- 11 Monkey Humpers

Home Plate- 11 mule kicks

Moseyed over to the outfield fence. Partner-up and each partner would start at a foul pole and run towards the other partner. When they crossed paths, both partners would perform partner derkins, 11 each. Rinse and repeat 7 times.

Moseyed over to the gym wall for a little arm burnout. YHC borrowed this from a past workout Ma-Bell had at The School Yard. This one provides some serious beatdown with very little mumble chatter with the exception of “You’re crazy…” “Are you kidding me…” “We’re not in Australia…”

Balls to the wall x 11 IC

Balls to the Wall alternating shoulder taps x 11 IC

Balls to the Wall Merkins x 11 IC

Australian Mountain climbers (BTTW Mountain Climbers) x 11 IC

Peoples Chair x 11 IC

Peoples Chair with marching x 11 IC

PAX had so much fun doing this, YHC decided to rinse and repeat… Same mumble chatter ensued.

Had a few more minutes so decided to do a quick round of 7s from light pole to light pole with the exercises being San Antonio Shufflers and Merkins.

Moseyed back to the shovel flag at 6:15am for COT

Prayer Requests

Announcements

Moleskin

A great day for a slushee beatdown at Build Up. Great push by all PAX and I appreciate Stern allowing me with the opportunity to lead.
