I woke up this morning, you know… and the sun was shining, and it was nice, and all that type of stuff. And the first thing, I got to Boyd Lee, and, uh, I said, “Boy, this is gonna be one terrific day, so you better live it up, because tomorrow you’ll be nothing.” You see? And I almost was.

As soon as YHC pulled up in the gloom I knew something was off. I wasn’t early enough for there to only be two other cars. That’s when Rootin Tootin jogged my memory. We had missed the memo. Five of us. You’d think somebody would tweet or put a big red notice on the website or mention it in the announcements or something when there’s a convergence.

“I don’t know what to do anymore. Except maybe die,” I said.

“Look, Popeye,” said Chumlee. “You can depend on me. Trust me. Whatever comes, we’ll, we’ll fix it together. I swear it. Now Popeye, stand up. I’ll stand up with you. I’ll try and be as strong as you want me to be. Come on.”

So we decided that doing our own workout was a better idea.

“I wouldn’t make a hasty decision,” said Dick Trickle. “Nobody can make a snap decision. We’ve got to consider the pros and cons, make a list, get advice… ”

“Hang loose, boy, I’m warning you!” said Abacus.

It was Q by committee. At each stop we rotated around the group to call exercises and cadence.

But first a lap, 1/2 mile around the park.
