Hillstreet Blues

As Co-Site Q at The Rush, I haven’t actually been the Q since Thanksgiving!  So I decided to put my name on this calendar and lay down some mileage and do something that’s been on my mind for a while. Gamecock and I arrived first, and a few minutes later, cars started rolling in.  We circled up with shovel flag and Tortoise came running around the corner!  Most of us DRIVE to the AO……Tortoise RUNS to the AO reminiscent of Gazelle back when he used to post at BLP !

Warm Up

• Good Mornings x 7
• Good Nights x 7
• Low Slow Squats x 10

The THANG

• We ran left on Arlington, and went left on Evans and the PAX met up at the entrance to the Greenway. We ran together through the first 1/4 of Greenway and came to the lit cul-de-sac on the right that backs up to Stratford. At this point, YHC let the PAX know we would be doing suicides……..running UPHILL and to the first streetlamp, then back to the bottom of the cul-de-sac. Rinse and repeat until we made it down the street, and around the corner to the first street lamp!  All total 4 street lamps.
• We then headed back toward Evans Street, turned left, and gathered on Clifton Street. YHC instructed the PAX we would run UPHILL and around the corner to Arlington, then back down Clifton to Evans. Rinse and repeat. Endured some mumblechatter about the hills, but had some good conversation along the way as well.
• Headed back UPHILL to Rose High and the shovel flag. Had two minutes left, so had Tortoise lead us in some stretches to wind it down. Got in at least 4.1 miles, although Tortoise probably got a little more!

• Nice Body will be leading a Valentine’s Day Massacre next Thursday at The Rush!  Skipper and then Stabler will round out the month.

Enjoyed good conversation with Skipper and Past Due while running today. It’s amazing how some conversation can make the run go by so much quickly.  One of the great things about coming to The Rush !
