Planting Another Running Flag

Pulled into the AO excited to finally be able to plant our newest flag at #terminal run!  We had several gentlemen show up a little early to get in a 6 pack, the curiosity is growing by our fellow Pax members.  If you haven’t tried it yet, give it a shot as it is a great way to warm up for a work out.  5:30 hit and we took off.

The route:

With it being our 6th, and final, week of expansion I wanted our route to be the same as the inaugural route taken 6 weeks ago.  We left the shovel flag and headed right on Rouse road.  Within the first mile, LD decided to tell us he is planning on running a 50 miler in March (tclaps for him).  As we closed in to our next turn we passed the SPCA which had several dogs rooting us on, its funny but you’d think this encouragement would exist at #greyhoud…not at #terminal run.  Once we got to Felix Harvey we took a left and followed the highway all they way down to spirit way, where we took a left.  At this point it was still dark outside and YHC had joined up with Mule and Gopher.  As we turned on Spirit Way there was some mumble chatter that rudely got interrupted by an unseen deer that decided to cross in front of us (a little too close for comfort).  As we gathered our composure, checked our shorts :) we continued on to hit John Mewborne, where we took a left.  This mile of our flight path ended around the last turn on Rouse road that took us back to our shovel flag.  The path consisted of another 4 miles.

COT:
prayer request were- Bob Dowson (COVID), Jay Wood’s family as he has passed, and Lori Tyndall’s family as they lost a son.  Praises were had for Waterboy’s and Lt. Dan’s family recovery of COVID.

Announcements- Burpee is on the Q at the Swamp tomorrow, a ruck event (with short shorts) is happening in Gville tonight, and we are still planning a rucking event on Jan. 31st for the families that lost everything due to house fires (led by Gopher and Goggles).

Moleskin–  A lot of men (some deep within) desire to better themselves both mentally and physically; most try to obtain their desires individually.  However, F3Kinston has a ton of men that not only want to personally succeed; they want to see our fellow brother succeed.  The support given during this expansion was amazing and I cannot wait to see F3Kinston continue to grow so that other unknown brothers can experience the love shared by our group!  As Goggle says often… if you haven’t heard it from a man lately, I love you guys!
