Turtle Doves

Conch Fritter asked me to swap Q with him since he was boarding his aeroplane to Louisville this morning to go buy a pony for his daughters for Christmas or something.  What a dad! Arrived on 2 wheels with 11 PAX and a FNG waiting for Bob the Builder’s 12 Days of Christmas.  The fog was thick and the anticipation was heavy.  Some were distraught that Bob didn’t bring his normal construction coupons, or “cinder blocks”, as Pied Piper calls them, but nevertheless we headed into warm ups with a Partridge in a pear tree soccer goal waiting for us first.

 Warm Up

Good Mornings x 12 IC

Don Quixotes x 12 IC (always fun getting the count right on these)

Butt Kickers X 12 IC

Bear Crawl Ring of Fire x Together (looked like circus elephants around the shovel flag)

The Thang

Moseyed through the complex with cell phone light in hand because you couldn’t see 10ft in front of you.  Almost like driving with your high beams in fog.  We made it to goal number 1 which read, Day 1: 25 knee pull ups.  Using the goal post.  Due to real goal real estate, we split up into groups and half the PAX went ahead to Day 2. The remaining days included:

Day 2: 2 dove walks around the goal while coo’ing.(substituted for the duck walks that Jock Itch made us do for GoRuck Sim 1 recently) As half us PAX were still at Day 1, the other grown men, in the heavy fog, circled a soccer goal while coo’ing loudly.  Unbelievable. We could not see them from Day 1 location but could here the coos. Bar none, one of the funniest things I’ve ever heard.

Day 3: 25 Merkins

Day 4: 25 Side Straddle Hops like a “Colly” bird

Day 5: 5 bear crawls around the goal

Day 6: Six Pack. 1 pull up, 5 merkins (11’s style but with 6’s)

Day 7: 25 Mexican jumping beans

Day 8: 25 Burpees

Day 9: 25 Diamond Merkins

Day 10: 25 Jump Lunges

Day 11: 25 Dancing Bears

Day 12: 25 broad jumps; Rinse and Repeat

The PAX held up well in the thick fog.  FNG Zig Zag held his own. Disappointed that Largemouth didn’t wear his neon panty house today was the comment made by several PAX. Some modifications made for the beastly pull-ups (looked good on paper). T-claps for the tremendous fart by Baquette at Day 9. We attempted a Rinse and Repeat but due to time hack, we only made it back to Day 3. Moseyed back to circle up for some Marys.

The distant coo’ing in the fog. Words just cannot describe the hilarity. What a memory.  Great job fellas.  We are 1% better than we were at 0514.  Enjoying the fellowship with these tremendous HIM.
