While a run was scheduled and planned, nothing sounded better than a book next to an open fire for this route, “Book Worm.” YHC pulled into the parking lot of J.H. Rose High School to a frigid 32 degrees — a cold start for mid-November! YHC was in good company with 11 other PAX, including a gone but never forgotten HIM, Vanilla!
Directions and route were given at 5:30 AM. The route was as follows:
- RIGHT out of Rose parking lot onto Arlington Blvd.
- RIGHT onto Hooker Rd.
- RIGHT onto Dickinson Ave.
- Arrival at Shepphard Memorial Library
- RIGHT onto Evans St.
- RIGHT onto Arlington Blvd.
- RIGHT into Rose parking lot
PAX were instructed to go back for the six at intersections of Hooker & Dickinson, Dickinson & Evans, Evans & Arlington and at finish line. PAX logged between 4.1 and 4.5 miles upon finishing at 6:15 AM!
Prayer Requests:
- Stern: friend and PAX whose mom suddenly died
- Brass Monkey: friend with questionable spot to be examined, prayers for protection (Corey)
- Silverback: “work wife” experienced remarkable and unexpected healing from cancer treatment, prayers for continued clean bill of health
