Well it has seemed like forever but we started a workout without any rain in the sky.  It was impressive to see 16 PAX out and about for a Thursday workout, man these guys are awesome.  Upon walking up Flo noticed that I didn’t have any gloves on so he assumed that today was not going to be a day of rolling around in the dirt and grass to which I replied we are going to be moving a lot today and that he probably wouldn’t need them.  We circled up and the disclaimer was given so that everyone knew that I was not a professional.

Warm up – Windmills, SSH, Hallelujahs, all IC

After a short mosey to the infamous Gaylord’s Ledge we started off the day with a hang while every PAX member performed 5 merkins.  Another short mosey to the start of the board walk the PAX were informed that we were going to be doing a lunge ladder to the Chamber of Commerce dock, 12 light poles to be exact.  Each man had to start with one lung (both legs equaled one), followed by two at the next, three, etc., by the end each man had done 78 total lunges and the stiff leg walks had begun.  At the dock each PAX was instructed to grab some rail and IC performed 30 slow calf raises.  As we made our way off the rail there is a beautiful flower garden right by the chamber with a good circle to run around.  We stared a new ladder this time with Merkins.  Each PAX had to perform one merkin and then run around the garden to return to two merkins, rinse and repeat until they got to 10 Merkins.  After another short mosey to the parking lot beside the Chamber the PAX were informed of the next exercise which was a Parking Lot Tracer performed with side lunges and forward/backward lunges.  Each member had to start in one parking space, side lunge to the next white line, lunge forward around the line and then backwards lunge to the curb where again a side lunge was performed.  This was rinsed and repeated for 12 parking spaces.  Last we made our way back to Festival Park and the parking lot adjacent to the park where an Escalator workout was performed.  In each corner a exercise was done along with the previous exercises that were performed at the other corners.  Corner 1- 10 squats, corner 2 – 10 squats and 20 Merkins, corner 3 – 10 squats, 20 merkins, and 30 hallelujahs, corner 4 – 10 squats, 20 merkins, 30 hallelujahs, and 40 LBCs.  The PAX performed this so well and so quick that we had to rinse and repeat it again but only half the second go round.  To finish the day up we got a few Mary’s in followed up by count-o-rama, name-o-rama and prayer requests.  The PAX were pushed today and there were no 10 counts or breaks, I wanted to see how everyone would do with constant movement and needless to say the PAX did not disappoint.  These guys have come so far in such a short time and I couldn’t be more proud of a group of men who continue to make themselves better each day.  It was a pleasure as always to Q and until next time….Enron
