The schedule finally came around to Q on a Saturday. I find I tend to spend a lot of time determining the work out, to the point my M shakes her head at how long I stare at Google Maps of the AO to get ideas.  DIMs down the boardwalk?  DORA at the Courthouse?  Blocks at the church…hmm near the church is Veterans Park…hmm, D-Day was two days ago….hmm…that’s IT.  D-Day respect day, a beatdown that could be a small token of gratitude and respect.

Rolled up to the Waterfront, the first day in a week not getting up before 4:45.  With 10 minutes to post time, only 4 of us were standing around. Well, it would be less exciting with 4 but would push on just the same……then coming from all directions appears the faithful.

As we circled up, and unknown PAX HL a passerby who was visiting from Charlotte and heard of F3.

Welcome / Disclaimer  Informed the PAX that I was not a professional, trained or certified.

Warm up.

The Thang:

Mosey to Estuarium to what I believe is called Gaylord’s Ledge for – partner pull ups 10 x 3.   Had an odd number, so YHC told Double D he could do them unassisted…b/c he can.  Hearing the grunting and mumble chatter YHC decided to stop at 2 sets, as the PAX would need their strength.

Mosey up to water street and had PAX fall in to a single line formation for the  Bataan Death March 3 burpees on the way to the Veterans Park. Explained WWII would be the theme today.

Once at the Vet’s Park YHC asked Novocaine for a 20 count as some were huffing and puffing.  We got a “20” and that was it as Novocaine doesn’t believe in 20 counts.  So YHC asked Flo for a 20 count, and got something slightly better, time to move on…..

The beatdown started with 1 lap of Conch Crawl around the Vets Park.  As soon as it came out of YHC mouth the mumble chatter started like girls.  But like the vets of D-Day we needed to embrace the suck.  As YHC passed Charlotte FNG he asked if the bench as the Waterfront was safe, which I thought it “might be”.  After a few minutes he decided his phone was more important than the workout…or he had too much Conch Crawl. (Note to Q’s good to let FNG know if you are leaving the AO to secure belongings… oops).

Next up: Merkins, WWII Seat ups, Dips, Derkins 15 each x2

Partnering up came the mine field, thanks to the healthy goose population at the Vet’s Park this truly became a mine field. Partners low crawl 1/2 across the Vet Park. Then partner 1 carries parter 2 the rest of the way. On return rotate with the carry 1/2 and them low crawl to finish. Rinse and Repent… as it came to be know with YHC having slip of the tongue.

Mosey back to waterfront circling back for the six.

Time had slipped very quickly.  Only 10 minutes left but 4 more exercises, YHC needed to cut it short, but saving some time for Mary.  The call was to circled up arms length away for Coupon sharing… a circular fireman’s line to pass coupons – rotating directions.

Mary- YHC nominated PAX to call out and exercise.  And a Conch Q is not complete with a Gaylord Crabcake — ending the work out in laughter is so much fun.  Flo with “Flo motion” squat jumps, Duct Tape being upset we wouldn’t do 10 burpees…. Enron with Boxcutters and YHC giving in to Duct Tape allowed 1 burpee at TIME.
