13 Stud Pax showed up this A.M. at the #waterfront to mosey around town and get a upper body beat down! I always love showing up and seeing our beautiful river and board walk. Im a little bias but we have to have one of the best workout spots around. There are so many options just blocks away! With the Farmers Market guys showing up to start their day we circle up and got ready for a Largemouth tail whipping!!!

Here we go!

Started with some Jack webs to get the day started. The PAX began to grumble at just the name !!!

  • Stop# 1

Left the waterfront and headed on a Mosey Down on Main! Split the PAX  up on each side of the road and we began ! Pax ran up Main stoping at each bench they saw . We alternated between 5 dips and 5 Derkins  until we reach the end of downtown main. Ruff from Ruff Cuts left his barber chair to come out and cheer us on like he does everytime he  sees us !! Once we got to the end we switched sides of the road and “Rinsed and Repeated” down Main to our starting spot. Arms are getting HEAVY now but we have more to come!!!

  • Stop # 2

Moseyed down about  2 1/2 blocks until we reached First Baptist where we found jump ropes ,cones and blocks! Pax partnered up. One Pax started at the the jump ropes while the other did lunges to the first cone, bear crawls to the second cone and then moseyed down to the end of the parking lot where they found the blocks. This covered around 100 yards. At the blocks each PAX did 20 squat presses. They then ran around the block to get back to their partner and switch. Rinse and repeat x 2 . Pax was feeling it now so on second go around we just ran back down parking lot instead of around the block.

  • Stop # 3

Took a 20 count and Moseyed to the board walk! On our run I tried to get a high five from a older gentleman on his walk but got dissed! I tried ??!!! Made our way back to the waterfront starting spot where we found our pavers and cones spread across the field. PAX partnered up and each group found a block where we locked our legs together and did partner sit ups x 20 alternating the block from each person as they went down touching it over their head. After each group finished they ran down the field until they reached a cone and did Partner Cone Touches ( faced each other and alternated a bear crawl- feet staying still-  touching the cone and returning to their stand up position x 20).   Rinse and Repeated for 3 sets.

** With time left we finished off with our partners doing 2 x 10 feet thrown downs to continue that ab burn!

Circled up for what the PAX thought was the end of a sweaty beatdown but finished with 5 burpees OYO, to celebrate Cinco de Mayo!!

Closed with the Count – a – Rama and Name – a – Rama . Announcements and prayer request. YHC prayed for our group. Their has been a lot going on through the PAX the last couple of weeks and it has been AWESOME to see our guys lean on each other through prayer requests. As men we sometime feel like we have to “fix it” by placing that burden on our own shoulders BUT  what we really need is to place our knees on the ground and give it to GOD!! Finished with Double D giving a testimony on the power of pray and how prayers had been answered in his life. Thanks D for the wise words brother!!
