• Tuesday Night 3rdF Summer Integrated Faith Series
  • 7/24/2018, Hot Pursuit’s House, Lesson 3 – Personal Transformation

YHC continues to be excited about the topic of integrating faith with all aspects of our lives.  Using the material from the Officers Christian Fellowship ministry on the subject, we are proceeding through foundational sessions, now one on personal transformation, and will move forward to the next three lessons (family, profession, and community).  Raced home from work, planted the shovelflag, put out some PAX shirts, tried a last minute EH on the twittermachine, set out the materials, and awaited the start hour.  Dirty Bomb arrived early with pizzas in hand, then more vehicles pulled up.  A little cordial mumblechatter, then the group assembled in the living room and the small group session commenced.

Moleskin:

Great openness and communication from the PAX in attendance made for a great session on an important topic.  PAX were challenged to pick at least one of the evidences of transformation discussed and focus on activities in this area.  It is important to acknowledge who the Lord is (know Him – personal relationship), study what he did (through His Word), and do (action) His will.  We discussed the need to truly demonstrate a changed life to the world, and that our effort and devotion to the Lord doesn’t stop at salvation, but must be actively lived out and demonstrated throughout our life journey as we move closer and closer, with the help of the Holy Spirit, to the goal of Christ-likeness.  We are to be the salt of the earth, and the light in a dark world in desperate need of the Savior.  Hot Pursuit out.
