YHC saw that the Pray First revival tour was coming to BLP, and decided to keep the revival going during the workout:

Warmup:

  • Intro/Disclaimer/Pledge of Allegiance
  • SSH x 13
  • Good mornings x 13
  • Good evenings x 13
  • Don Quixotes x 13

The thang:

First, it was off to the picnic shelter. Since there’s a lot of standing up during a revival, we did Step-ups- 30 second AMRAP with a ten-second rest. Rinse and repeat x 4. Then, LBCs x 13 and Table Top Situps x 13. Next was a 30 second plank on the top of the tables (or as YHC called it, Leaning on the Everlasting Arms) with a ten-second rest. Rinse and repeat x 4.

YHC gave Padre the choice of Sunday school or Rock of Ages, and he chose Sunday school: mosey to the circle by the main building entrance for a modified Billy Madison: 12 reps of an exercise, run to the No Parking sign and back, 12 reps of the next exercise, and so on. YHC went around the circle and had each PAX choose an exercise. Much fun was had with burpees, side lunges, mountain climbers, alligator merkins, squeaky frogs (courtesy of our visiting PAX- YHC thinks that’s what it was called), and more.

Once we were finished, the PAX learned that Padre’s choice was simply what we did first. Mosey to the rock pile and select a coupon for curls, tricep extensions, and squats. Rotate a certain number of rocks around the circle and repeat a few times. All of a sudden it was 6:15.

COT: countrerama, name-o-rama, prayer requests, took a knee and prayed out, and took a picture.

Thanks to all who posted.
