It is easy to lose focus on the things that are important. When that happens, I tend to misplace it in things that don’t really matter. It is good to have a group like F3 ENC to help you remain focused on the 3 F’s at least. So when Just the Tip asked me to Q last week, it was with a little hesitation that I agreed to it. I am glad that I did…I always seem to get more out of the workout when I Q…after all, I don’t want to be the perpetual-six! It just so happens that I had a pretty good weekend and had a chance to examine my own focus, so when Monday morning rolled around, I had a new focus that I was ready to share with my F3 brothers. Here is how it went down:

Warm-Up

  • Good Mornings IC x 10
  • Don Quixotes IC x 10
  • Capri Lap finishing at the “hub” of the AO’s intersections

Thang

Beginning and ending at the hub, perform the following sets of exercises on each of the 4 “spokes” starting at the hub and running down the spoke for the next exercise:

  1. Western Spoke – 4 sets at each end of the spoke OYO
    • Happy Jacks
    • Outlaws
  2. Northern Spoke – 4 sets at each end OYO
    • LL Cool J’s (x 5)
    • Imperial Walkers (x 10)
  3. Eastern Spoke – 4 sets at each end OYO
    • Never Cross Dolly (3 sets of 10 –> Move to next intersection)
  4. Southern Spoke:
    • Elevens:
      • Squats
      • Scorpion Dry Docks

We had to call an audible during the Elevens due to time, so we returned to the Start Point / Flag and did a little Mary until it was time to circle up.

COT / Prayer Requests:

PAX recovering from surgery (heart and cancer related); PAX dealing with loss of family and friends; friends of PAX dealing with significant health issues.

Moleskin:

We tend to find our identities in different things. For some, our identity is in our vocation (police officer, military, teacher, etc.). For others, we find our identities in our relationships (father, husband, single, married, etc.). I was challenged and reminded this weekend that, as a Christ follower, my identity is should be in Christ alone. All the other “stuff” is secondary. In order for me to be identified with Christ, I need to pursue a life of HOLINESS (not perfection). The pursuit of holiness answers a whole host of “problems” whether I am aware of them or not. Pursuing holiness minimizes MY selfish (sinful) desires and focuses on HIS desires. As HIM, we should strive to be holy as He is holy.
