The AO was dark, but full of potential and the ruckers were plentiful.  When the call was put out for some OGs to Q up the inaugural ruck workout for Kinston YHC and Lynard Skynyrd quickly sounded off.  A quick pre-workout scout of the area and a plan was hatched.  About 50% rucking and 50% ruck style PT seemed to be the order of the day.

At 5:30 we moved out from the shovel flag and meandered to the first area of light. Disclaimers and simple instructions were mentioned, then we got down to the set block of ruck PT.

after a series of Rucks Up – Rucks on, we did 10 squats followed by 10 overhead presses all in cadence. Rucked up and moved to the next area by the picnic shelter for Merkins and curls. Rucked to the far side of the park and found some nice wet grass for ruck rolls and flutter kicks.  rucked down the road to the rock pile for around the world planks and then a quick race to the RR tracks and back to the rock pile. Moved back to the grass for some group bear crawling and crab walking. Just enough time left to move back to the shovel flag and finish up with 5 burpees oyo.

There was a great turnout and awesome effort put forth by some first time ruckers.  YHC hopes everyone will come out for another dose and bring a friend.  Suffering is best enjoyed with buds!
