YHC got to Alice Keene Park early to get coupons situated.

5:15 hit and the boys were led on a 1 mile ruck to warm up.

Upon returning to the flag we needed a tad more mileage and went around the adjacent parking lot to tally our fill. About this time the Sky Q gave the PAX a good shower.

With the mile warm-up complete PAX were directed back to the flag for PT. The PT for today’s #ruckready is adapted from the Heavy Drop Training developed by Bryan Singelyn, a well-trained sadist from the Cleveland Area Rucking Crew. The training is multifaceted and YHC recommends any PAX looking to prepare for an event to check it out: https://www.clevelandarearuckingcrew.com/heavy-drop-training.

Rain soaked PT consisted of:

• Ruck-on sit-ups: 4 rounds of 10 reps
• Ruck Squat Thrusters: 4 rounds of 10 reps
• Ruck Get-ups: 3 rounds of 8 reps
• Z-Press: 4 rounds of 15 reps
• Ruck V-ups: 4 rounds of 10 reps

With PT complete YHC advised the bad mother ruckers to ruck up and head to the pile of coupons. YHC had a bounty of coupons at the ready, however only 6 PAX were present. One component of the HDT training is a coupon-loaded 1-mile ruck. As PAX picked up their coupon of choice, those lucky enough to get sandbags quickly realized that the sandbags had created a majestic dam which allowed rain to puddle quite a bit. YHC and Haavaad had some mighty moist sandbags. TClaps to Rafiki who decided to carry the awkward punching bag and to Sherlock for thinking picking up the CMU was a good idea. Stupid idiots, lol.

Ma Bell led the way on the coupon ruck and YHC picked up the six. Pace was decent considering the coupons. It sucked.

PAX arrived back at the flag at exactly 6:15 a.m.

Prayers: Ma Bell’s Mom (mastectomy), Rafiki’s MIL (fall and 11 stiches in forehead), Pitt County Schools (K-5), PCC & ECU employees, Aquaman

Announcements: Freed to Bleed Oct. 30th, PAX lunch at Mellow Mushroom today at Noon, Candy Cane fundraiser coming up (TBD post GrowRuck)
