Drop Zone to Mount Ruck

Today we had 3 PAX for EC that covered 3 miles before 5am and a total of 6 PAX registered for day 1 of “Ruck University” at Greenspring’s Park.  The PAX consisted of a variety of Rucker’s; from the “Gold Standard” graduate class of MJ to some incoming freshman. It was a nice, comfortable morning for day one of class. Disclaimer given with no FNG’s and we began.

WARM UP:

Aye…we began rucking towards the drop zone to summit Mount Ruck with 2 coupons (2) 4′ long 6×6 logs.

THE THANG:

The PAX moseyed down 5th street alternating coupons every 10 minutes until we got to the Greenway next to the dog park. See Through lead PT consisting of Ruck Curls x 50 OYO followed by Ruck Curls x 25. Ruck’s back on as we moseyed down the Greenway leading us to the “Drop Zone” where the PAX completed with Rucks on Merkins x 25 OYO and Squats x 25. PAX moseyed back down the Greenway and looked up at the summit of Mount Ruck. PAX lined up to do 11’s, but Q recognizing clock said 0603 PAX modified and conducted 5’s. Merkins at base of hill, bear crawl to the summit for squats, back down the summit with backward lunges. Clock struck 0611, so PAX shuffled back 1.0 miles with coupons to the flag ending with 4.6 miles from 0500-0617.

PRAYER REQUEST:

Continue to lift up, pray and support for Cousin It’s family. Mayhem has high school friend who’s dad has CHF; pray for speedy recovery and continued health.

YHC and See Through continue to be amazed by the many blessing that F3 has and continues to bring us on a daily basis. We are so fortunate for all the new friendships, brotherhood and accountability from all the PAX. It’s humbling to be able to begin to stand up a new AO on Monday’s based on the F3 foundation of Fitness, Fellowship and Faith. As I left Mount Ruck, I was reminded of the following scripture:

Psalm 121:1-2:

“1 I lift up my eyes to the mountains-where does my help come from? 2 My help comes from the Lord, the Maker of heaven and earth.”
