YHC realized that it is now March and his beach body needs some help. So what does that mean? Lots of cardio, sit ups, push ups and even some leg work thrown in there for those buns of steel. I had an idea in my head to keep the PAX moving for an entire 45 minute stretch, no planking, no Mary while waiting for the 6, MOVING for 45 minutes! So 5:30 came and this is what went down:

THE THANG

Skipper, give me a 10 count. This has become a joke between a few of us, because The Closed Hand has trained us that there are no breaks, you rest after the workout! So we were off..

Mosey behind the baseball field near the practice football field, the PAX was instructed for the entire time of the workout, if you are not performing an exercise, you are either running in place or chopping your feet. Quick warm-up was One burpie, two karaoke squats, three burpies, four karaoke squats, five burpies, six karaoke squats, seven burpies and eight karaoke squats. No time to stop, follow me!

Mosey to the intersection of Marvin Jarman Road and the exit road to Hooker Road, run in place for the six because again, we ain’t stopping! The PAX was informed we would be performing Dora 1,2,3 suicides. 100 hand release push-ups, 200 jump squats and 300 Freddie Mercury’s. First stopping point was the large speed bump towards the football stadium, approximately 300 feet (one way), the next stop would be the second large speed bump, approximately 800 feet (one way) and the third stop would be the third speed bump, approximately 1,200 feet (one way). One partner starts with hand release push ups while the other goes to the first speed bump, when that partner returns, the other partner goes to the second speed bump, and so on and so on…

We then moseyed to the back student parking lot and with about 10 minutes left we began “the final countdown”. Start at one end of the parking lot with 12 Carolina Dry Docks, mosey to the other end of the parking lot, 11 LBCs, back to other end 10 Carolina Dry Docks… Some of us made it to 7 LBCs and 6 Dry Docks and it was time to head for the flag. We got there, at exactly 6:15.

COUNT A RAMA – 8 of us

PRAYER REQUESTS

String Bean is going to start hanging with Papa Smurf from 9-2 one day a month and asked for guidance and wisdom in this new task.

MOLESKIN

The PAX responded with great enthusiasm to my request that we don’t stop moving this morning. It just hit me now, remembering a conversation with Fighting Irish this morning, that in life, at times we want to just stop and give up but we must keep moving. F3 and all the new brothers I have made (I’m an only child so it’s extra special for me) always help inspire me to keep moving, may it be in a workout or in life, and I thank all of you for that. Great PAX this morning and a fast one too! Always be Headlocking!

Hometown Out! Aye!
