YHC loves to plan running routes, but the Sandlot does not give you a ton of options so decided to just run a loop around the area where roads are normally good. It was chilly but a great morning for running.

Warm-up – None required

The Thang – The Route:
Left park on the opposite side we normally leave and made a left on Ange, Left on Main, Left on Church, Left on Laurie Ellis and Then Left back onto Ange. Did that loop twice for about 4.6 miles.

Arkansas mentioning his 3 year from rehab story this morning made my day. I cannot do it justice here so ask him about it but stories like this apply in so many ways to all of our lives. What I get from this story is that people are placed in our lives not by accident. It may seem like a right place, right time situation, but it goes beyond that. God puts us in places to affect others lives in positive ways. We just have to keep our eyes open and make ourselves available to others. It does seem bad that some have to hit rock bottom in order to find a better way, but the reward I see in their eyes speak volumes to me.

Also, most of the workouts I have been attending recently have had really low attendance even when other sites are overflowing. Some would say this is a bad thing, but I have really been enjoying the intimacy of the workout and have been getting to know my brothers so much better. I can see the reason in the mission statement for keeping the workouts small as it does make a difference for me.
