Haavaad asked me to Q and share some info about BRR.  Gladly accepted the challenge and tried to find a fun way to share some insights.  Showed up to the Calm before the Storm and 9 Pax did a some EC for 3+ miles.

The Thang

Circled up for the POA and began to introduce the 5 rules of BRR.  The first rule was “Always be Ready!” With that said, no warmups just get moving up 3rd Street towards downtown.

Took a right turn on Reade and stopped for the second rule which was “Take a dump whenever and wherever you can!”  To signify this we did 36 squats.  Continued on Reade until we got to Cotanche street.

The third rule was “Do what you have to do and don’t worry about what it looks like or how you do it, just do it!”  Therefore, we did 36 monkey humpers on a downtown street corner for all to see.  Took a left on Cotanche and stopped at the parking deck.

The fourth rule Part A was “You legs are going to burn so just push through.  To demonstrate we ran up the stairs on one end of the deck, crossed over to the other side, and ran back down the stairs to the bottom.  The fourth rule, Part B was “Just went you think you are the top of the hill, there is always another hill,” so we rinsed and repeated up the stairs and down the ramp to the ground floor.  We continued on Cotanche, took a right on 1st street, right on Summit, and a right on 2nd street all the way to the bottom of the cul de sac.

The fifth rule was “Sometimes you take a wrong turn and you have to back track and push to catch up.”  Therefore we shuffled back up 2nd Street to Summit and all the way down to the cul de sac on the other end of 2nd street where we reviewed fourth rule, Part B.  We then shuffled back up to Summit.  From there we headed back down 3rd street and to the flag.  Ended at 3+ miles, little bit of cardio, and a little burn in the legs.

Enjoyed the opportunity to talk about Blue Ridge and have some fun with it.
