No warm up necessary, all the pax came for EC and were ready to go.

Grab the coupons (candy cane, telephone pole, sandbag, 35lb plate). Budweiser was named TL and navigated us to the parking garage.
Dropped the coupons and rucked to the top.
People’s chair with rucks in front for a lovely 5-count (spinal tap style).

Alternate rucks overhead, curls for the girls, rucks on back through the turns back to the ground level.
PAX partnered up and one pax carried both rucks in their team while carrying coupons.
Coupons up. Stable named TL, and navigated us towards town commons.
At halfway point, partners switched. The other partner carried both rucks now.

At the commons, coupons down, rucks in a pile. PAX worked together to pass rucks down and back while on their six.

Coupons up. Padre is now the TL and led us to the 116.

At the flag, we circled up for some lower body stretching before a brief discussion about it’s not about you (see below).

Prayers for Patch’s 2.0s that they would be independent and he would parent in grace. YHC and my M have 2 opportunities opening up, prayers for wisdom. Praise, Stabler’s 2.0 is 13!

It’s not about you.
Today’s workout was designed to drive home a lesson; it’s not about you. Today we learned that it’s ok to follow a leader, if you think or know you can do better. You help the new guy and guide him. (Like following a new TL) We learned when it’s our time to lead, it’s ok to do that too (being TL), we don’t lead out of pride, but out of an opportunity to help grow others.
We learned that sometimes, the burdens of life are to be shared (like taking your partners ruck). Sometimes we are the one in a place where we can help another carry life’s load. Other times, we must be the one to give up our burden (like giving your ruck away). This is hard for us as men, it makes us feel vulnerable because we aren’t in control, or we don’t want to appear weak. Be humble men let others help.
We learned that when we work together we can achieve a common purpose. Like carrying coupons all around Greenville, we move at a pace that benefits the team. We push others to be better or we sacrifice ourselves and slow our pace. It’s not about you, it’s about others.
In our lives we must remember that it’s not about us, it’s about others.
In our marriages, it’s about our spouse. It’s not just our needs or wants, remember your M’s, they got needs and wants too!
As parents, it’s about our 2.0’s. Their personality, their hopes and dreams. They aren’t an opportunity for you to live your failed hopes and dreams, they are a responsibility that you train up to make the world better.
Politically/socially, it’s not about your opinion or who’s right or wrong it’s about being willing to hear out your fellow man respectfully.
As employees/employers, it’s about being the best you can for you company/employees.
Even spiritually, for those that read the bible, it’s not about you. It’s about God and His love for us. Don’t read the story of David and Goliath and think you’re a giant slayer, you’re not, but Jesus is (and that gives me hope). You’re an Israelite peeing himself in the corner afraid to fight.
Ultimately, in every aspect of our lives, we must remember to be humble, because IT’S NOT ABOUT YOU!!!
