YHC has devised a plan to run while incorporating hills but trying to see some scenery as well. Swung by, picked up Hometown at 05:15 and headed towards the AO. At 05:29 the two of us contemplated heading to Waffle House for some 2nd F if nobody else showed, but then comes the white van and at 05:30 the two of us plus strokes headed for the course.

The Thang
Parking Deck and Stoplight suicides

Run to the top of the parking deck, run to the stoplight, come back to top of parking deck, run to next stoplight, etc … The stoplights we used were …
– 5th and Cotanche (beside old Boli’s)
– 5th and Reade (beside Chiocs)
– 10th and Cotanche (beside McDonalds)
– 14th and Charles (beside Harris Teeter, we didn’t quite make it to this one, had to stop halfway due to time)

We talked for a few minutes when getting back to the flag. We prayed for hurricane victims and people lending support over the next few weeks and months.

Moleskin
Wasn’t difficult to keep the Pax together this morning. The 3 of us kept a good pace, had great conversations and still knocked out 4.8 miles while climbing 38 floors. Strokes filled us in on a lot of details about the BRR. Good talks and a good pace make a run go by real quick. Thankful for both Hometown and Strokes on pushing the pace today.
