It was a hot and steamy evening at Boyd Lee on August 13.  I pulled into the park a little early to layout the trail of torture.  A plan that would take us only to the woods and back from the work out equipment, but would result in a strenuous exercise of most every muscle attached to the human skeleton.

As I returned from across the field from laying out the routine, I found a fresh and happy pax waiting to go to work.

The Thang

Side Straddle Hops in cadence – 20

Monkey Humpers -in cadence -20

Flutter Kicks – in cadence -20

A line of cones stretched from the workout equipment to the woods spaced 100′ apart for 11 intervals.  Rouute 66 would be the name of the treacherous path that the pax was about to begin to travel down.  The object is to start at the first cone and do 1 prison cell merkin burpee, move to the next one and do 2 prison cell merkin burpees, run to the 3rd cone and do 3 prison cell merkin burpees until you have traveled down the entire route 66 for a total of 66 prison cell merkin burpees.

There 4 cones in a square at the end of the route much like the Big Dipper attached to Route 66.  The Pax was leaking from all of the PCMBs and there was a lot of mumbling amongst them but they were strong and willing to move on to 4 corners of abs.  WWI sits ups at corner 1- 25 reps,  Flutter Kicks at corner 2- 25 reps, WWII situps at coner 3 – 25 reps and finally boxcutters and number 4 – 25 count.  Pax competed 3 rounds of great ab work.

Pax then move to the last 3 cones where we divided into teams of 2. 1 partner did squats while the other ran 100 yards.  This went on until each team did 100 squats.  We switched up and did the same routine using lunges instead of squats for another 100 reps.

Pax now gathered cones and moved back to the flag.  Time was done and so was the Pax and the Q.

COT

PAX circled up and closed in prayer.  Asked for guidance for each of us and prayed to be better at all we do and who we are.
