YHC knew the crowd would be small today because YHC doesn’t beg for PAX to come to YHC’s workouts, hand out free t-shirts, barter, plead, make empty promises, or any of that. YHC just promises to mistreat the PAX and sandbags are sometimes scary. Us dummies who did show up got a true lesson in the importance of choices and decision making.

YHC got to the AO and immediately realized the dry erase marker that was to be used to outline the beatdown didn’t work (2 is 1 and 1 is none fail) so an audible was called. YHC had to bring the trusty ol celly telly because YHC isn’t astute enough to remember all the things. 5:30 a.m. hit and it was time to take charge.

Warmup: 30lb Ruck on backs, 60lb Sandbags on shoulders, 1+ mile. This was the warmup because nobody freggin cares what you can do fresh. The sandbag mile absolutely serves as an equalizer and will smoke even the fittest PAX. Having it for appetizers is the only way.

DECISION TIME: PAX were noticeably smoked after the sandbag mile (which stretched to 1.25 miles) and YHC offered choices:

  1. A Ruck only mile then a sandbag mile and continuing to alternate until COT
  2. The pre-determined beatdown

Showboat emphatically begged for the beatdown. Don’t think he liked the sandbag mile too much. So, beatdown came in quicker than Oprah Winfrey on some Ho-Ho’s.

The Thang: 3 rounds as a group with rucks on the entire time. Each round wasn’t complete until all PAX had returned to home base to start the next round.

Round 1:

  • Sandbag Back Squat x 20
  • Sandbag Clean x 20
  • Sandbag Overhead Press x 20
  • Sandbag carry up and down Murphy Center stairs and back to Minges doors to complete round 1

Round 2:

  • Sandbag Deadlift x 20
  • Sandbag High Pull x 20
  • Sandbag Merkins x 20
  • Sandbag carry up and down Murphy Center stairs and back to Minges doors to complete round 2

Round 3:

  • Sandbag Front Squats x 20
  • Sandbag Bent Over Row x 20
  • Sandbag Thrusters x 20
  • Sandbag carry up and down Murphy Center stairs and back to Minges doors to complete round 3

Sometime during the rounds Aquaman brought the PAX from #firstaid by for some high fives. Great to see those studs rolling by.

Return to the flag, not dropping sandbags until all PAX returned to the COT.

6:15 a.m. and it was done.

Prayers: the Alston family (Candy Cane’s coworker), Showboat asked for prayer for a special situation, Brandon Scott’s (F3 Compher) family member

Announcements: PAX lunch at La Rancherita, Sasquatch, Upcoming running events at the beach (check slack), Padre dropped some knowledge about Covenant having a men’s conference coming up.
