See Thru and YHC arrived at 0410 to put out some glow sticks (to light up the trail) and to arrange the garden coupons.  Jock Itch and Pied Piper had a few clues early through a series of Monday text.  Co-Q’s always excited to Q this AO and always trying to do different beat downs never done before to challenge the Darkside Rucker’s 0440 PAX.  At 0420 we had 5 for EC, 0440 we had 11 for EC. Another solid day of EC for Rucker’s logging miles for Pathfinder and for some who just don’t see value in sleeping.  The GARMIN showed 0530 and we had 20 PAX in total, so See Thru gave disclaimer and the suck began.

WARM UP:

See Thru lead the PAX through the following exercises: 🇺🇸

  • Ruck sacks over head while instructions were given (a good 20 count)
  • Good Mornings in cadence x 15

THE THANG:

  • See Thru carried the flag & led 2×2 shuffle over to the garden to showcase desired grounded coupons for the PAX.  There the 3 railroad ties, 2 6×6 post, and 2 rock filled pipes waited for their carriers. The PAX lined up in two by two formation and began rucking toward the woods rotating on the flag holders cadence.  Once PAX entered the wooded cart path, we took the never traveled trail where there were plenty of darkness, roots, bends and curves. The trail ended up back on the paved path to the soccer field where we went off road again through the frozen fields and ditches completing the 1.1 mile loop.  The plan was to rinse and repeat, but sometimes it doesn’t go to plan. So we stayed in formation and completed the small loop ending back at the garden.  Coupons settled back in the garden where Ferile lead PT of irkins & derkins in cadence x 12 utilzing the railroad ties.  PAX shuffled 2×2 out of the garden then half way back to flag put Ruck sacks over head and continued their shuffle (variety of mumble chatter as some had 50 lbs some with 30 lbs and some; well not sure).  PAX ended back at the  flag for Mary at 0612.
  • See Thru lead flutter kicks & merkins in cadence x 20
  • Fertile lead Ruck curls in cadence x12 and Ruck squats x 20 in cadence
  • Jock Itch lead absolutions for 10 count

MOLESKIN:

See Thru and YHC met yesterday in the gloom to get miles and map out our Co-Q.  We wanted to keep with each weeks theme of a beat down but also allow for a strong presence of F1 & F2 (done best with mileage since Grammer applied a PT beat down last week).  As we were walking down the same old path along the woods we came across the “un touched” trail and thought should we check it out or should we just travel the same path we have for almost 2 years.  As we began to enter the un chartered path we began discussing what it meant to take the trail Less Traveled (in this case, never traveled).  It struck us that perhaps by trying an unchartered trail that over time it may become the trail more often traveled (time to get off the pavement) and that sometimes you come to a fork-in-the-road and must decide which way to continue. In this case, we had our doubts; total darkness, could be dangerous, unclear, unfamiliar and no clue on where we would end up. So glad we took the path and to our surprise it added 0.6 miles of unexplored trails; perfect for the Darkside Rucker’s.  It’s a remember that following the old, well-worn out routes won’t lead us to new places, and may seem scary at first, but sometimes, it can lead us to amazing destinations, experiences and opportunities.  Let’s all blaze “new” trails in 2018.
