YHC was still on the mountaintop from a great weekend filled with a lot of support, prayers, and encouragement. After the energy settled down a bit, I realized that Tuesday was coming and I needed some preparation. The 3rdF study got off to a great start the week prior and I was hoping the enthusiasm would keep up. The crowd did not disappoint and 2 FNGs joined us. The clock struck 1900, the disclaimer was given, Cousin IT opened us in prayer, and we got down to business.

Life-Changing Faith

Read Joshua 2

Joshua sent 2 spies into Jericho to assess the situation.  While there they were protected from capture by Rahab, a prostitute. Rahab made an agreement with the spies that for their protection she would be protected and rescued from the destruction of Jericho.

Rahab exhibited tremendous faith in God. She gave up the security of Jericho for God’s protection. The spies also exhibited faith by following God’s instruction through Joshua and trusting someone that God was using in Rahab.

“He is no fool who gives what he cannot keep to gain what he cannot lose.”

How might this statement apply to Rahab? To you?
