A total of 25 PAX posted today, including 2 FNG’s!

Several weeks ago I asked Tonka if I could have the Q today for Breakdown.  It’s become somewhat of an unspoken “tradition” for men to Q on their birthday.  However, today was a bit different for me.  Unbeknownst to the PAX, I was born 46 years ago today, on my mom’s birthday.  She would have been 70.  So the rep theme of the day was 116 (70+46).

It’s been awhile since I posted at BLP for Breakdown.  I was pleasantly surprised at the number of PAX who kept rolling in.  At 0530 we circled up.  A quick disclaimer for the 2 FNG’s who were amongst us, and we were off.  It went down like this:

WARMUP

  • 20 SSH IC
  • 20 Cross Crunches IC (10 each side)
  • Indian Run – 2 lines from the flags, all the way around the loop and stop at the gym equipment

THANG

Partner up and line up along the fence between the ball fields.

  • PAX 1 Squats while PAX 2 bearcrawls to opposite fence and jogs back.  Complete 116 squats total
  • PAX 1 does Mountain Climbers while PAX 2 Lunges to opposite fence and jogs back.  116 total
  • Jack Webbs – ratio of 1 to 4, Merkins to air presses.  Total of 8 rounds
  • PAX 1 does WWII Situps while PAX 2 Jump Squats to sidewalk, jogs to fence and back to sidewalk and Jump Squats from sidewalk back to PAX 1.  116 total
  • People’s chair on the fence for 5 ct by each PAX
  • Mosey to short wall near restrooms for 15 Irkins IC led by Tinman
  • Mosey to the flags for 20 Flutterkicks IC

COT

YHC stopped the workout a few minutes early because I wanted to share some testimony.  I won’t recount it in this BB, but you can read about it in a separate post here….http://f3nation.com/2016/02/01/dont-look-a-gift-horse-in-the-mouth/

BOM

  • Prayers for our 2.0’s and the situations they encounter, including peer pressure and difficult choices or decisions
  • We continue to lift up Mellow’s neighbor, Latonya who continues to battle cancer.  We don’t understand it, may she be healed and God given the glory!
  • Stitches friend was just diagnosed with Lymphoma.  He had a biopsy.  Prayers for wisdom and knowledge of the doctors treating him
  • Tonka’s family friend, Charlie, who was in rehab is having kidney failure and is in the hospital or ED.  Again, prayers for healing and recovery

MOLESKIN

I knew today would be tough.  I just didn’t realize how tough it would be.  Instead of speaking my testimony, last night I considered just writing it up and posting it.  I wasn’t sure I could make it through without breaking down.  But, I knew that wasn’t the right thing to do.  Spoken testimony is almost always better.  Besides that, my One Word is Deeper.  One way of building Deeper, more meaningful relationships is opening yourself up and being vulnerable.  That transparency builds trust (I won’t take the credit for that, I heard it from Bono).  I would have cheated the PAX and myself if I kept the “gift” to myself.

I appreciate the birthday wishes, Brothers!  As always, it’s an honor and a pleasure to lead the PAX!
