After a short warmup of Don Quixote and SSH we took off around the track; at each intersection we picked up the six and gathered for some merkins and squats – 5 at the first, 10 at the second, 15 at the third. Short Indian run to the shelter where we did 7s with tabletop sit-ups and foot release squats.

Then a mosey to the rock pile, where the real fun began. Now you all know what Popeye’s arms look like when he gets ahold of some spinach. My mission this morning was to make the PAX’s arms swole like Popeye. To that end we partnered up for some Dora: 100 tricep extensions, 200 overhead presses, and 300 curls, while the partners took turns carrying their rock across the field and back. Somehow my arms felt more noodly than swole at the end.

We lunged around the traffic circle before a jailbreak to the wall for people’s chair with hallelujahs, then finished up with some Mary.

There was some grumbling about the counts during the rock work, but the PAX stuck with it. Some sweat was shed. Prayers for the Stancill family following a tragic plane crash and for Fruity Pebbles’ grandparents dealing with health issues. Praise for YHC’s acceptance into ECU graduate school (along with prayers for returning to school after 20 years).

Thanks Khakis for the opportunity to lead this morning.

Aye!
