YHC put out a call for PAX posting at Ruck Ready to bring them sandbags and boy did they ever! With COVID still rolling around YHC wanted each PAX to have their own personal sandbag and we almost accomplished the goal. Luckily our brother Skynyrd is always good for a kegstand. PAX got the coupons dressed and ready for their impending rendezvous.
Disclaimer was yelled at the PAX because they couldn’t get the sandbags organized very well and YHC feels like yelling is needed when wearing face coverings in the cold.
15 Coupons present:
- 2 x 40lb GORUCK sandbag filler bags
- 1 x GORUCK GR1 with 50lb sandbag inside
- 1 x Spartan 60lb Sandbag
- 6 x GORUCK 60lb Sandbags
- 4 x GORUCK 80lb Sandbags
- 1 beer keg of unknown weight
With one coupon per PAX, it was time to ruck up and buckle up. PAX loaded up the coupons and headed out two by two. Immediately YHC could see that the added weight was a hinderance to many and pace suffered big time. YHC got everyone together by the time we entered the wooded trail. At this point YHC took off with the 80lb sandbag YHC was carrying to ambush the PAX at the soccer field. Upon exiting the wooded trail YHC startled the PAX and provided directions for the sandbags to be organized at the goal line, end to end (thanks for clarification Ma Bell) across the length of the end line.
The directions were simple but certainly not easy. PAX completed an AMRAP for 30 minutes consisting of:
10 x sandbag clean and press
Shuffle to opposite soccer field goal line
10 x ruck thrusters
Shuffle back to original goal line
Load sandbags and return to the flag.
Upon arriving at the flag coupons were dressed and Vanilla led the PAX in one minute of Mary (flutter kicks) to bring it home.
