After making two completely different workouts that YHC was deciding between, I sent the intellectual Pied Piper a text. Do something like normal but push the pace a little bit more or something completely different. He replied “go different”. Challenge accepted.

Warmup: split into 4 different teams, assign TLs.

-50 overhead ruck presses IC

-50 pushups with ruck IC

-50 4ct flutter kicks IC

-Shuffle the parking lot for the six.

Coupons up, shuffle to The Coliseum in the back of the park (the soccer field)

*Each challenge won = 1 point for that team.*

Challenge 1: The Buddy Drag

-two members of each team will drag one other member who is lying on their backs to the end of the field and back (roughly 50-60 yards). Each team member must be drug at least one time all the way down and all the way back. First team finished wins. Team members who are not pulling their teammates are doing burpees without the pushup while waiting for them to return.

Winner: team 3

-ruck ¼ mile for a cool down lap.

Challenge 2: Baby’s Creep, Snakes Crawl

-1 at a time, each team member must army crawl to the end of the field while pushing their rucks out in front. Other team members shuffled back and forth on the field while waiting for teammates to finish.

Winner: team 3

-here, I wanted to try something different with more of a mental challenge but it did not work out and we didn’t want to waste time doing so. Adapt and overcome. Coupons up, shuffle to the playground.

WOD: everything with rucks on.

3 pullups

5 pushups

7 squats

Teams 1,2, and 4 had to have somebody shuffling with coupons 50 yards and back while other teammates had to complete AMRAP of the WOD. Team 3 had to do the WOD but since they won the challenges, they did not have to run. Pays to win.

-shuffle back to the flag

HOLD THE LINE: everybody rucks overhead with one hand, see who is the last man standing. Or wait until 0615. Either or.

0615.

Prayer Requests:

-Dr. Randy Parker

-Nick Floyd

-Boss who got diagnosed with pancreatic cancer

Moleskin: Good to have the privilege to Q today at Ruck Ready. During the workout, something smacked me in the face (and it wasn’t slaprichard). It was that no matter where each of us are at in this process of bettering ourselves, at the end of the day that’s exactly what we are doing, bettering ourselves. So many people can get content in their everyday lives with where they are at that they don’t realize it until months or even years later. It can be at work, in our relationships with our spouses or friends, or at F3. I have found that recently I have been guilty of this really with posting. Never get content, never be satisfied with where you are, and keep pushing the pace. Take a step out of your comfort zones whether it is taking your wife on a date one random day during the week instead of just on the weekends, or intentionally spending more time with your loved ones. Strive to be better and different not just working out but in our lives that we have outside of F3. A complacent lifestyle breeds an average life. Don’t be average. Go out and be the change you want to see in the world.

Be the hammer. Jock Itch.
