As usual with the Ruck U workout the plan changes multiple times during the week.  I even alter the plan when I arrive at the workout.  I got to the Commons about 15 mins early to survey the landscape to get an idea of where I wanted to go and conduct the workout.  MJ and EB come rolling up from extra credit trying to get in 8 miles for their Pathfinder program.  They are a couple miles short after extra credit so we decide to hit the Greenway so they could get in their mileage.

Tin Man, Lemonhead and Goose arrived.  We actually saw Goose rucking around the Commons but didn’t know who he was.  We was there to join us.  So we grabbed the sandbags and hit the Greenway.

We had 3 bags total so half the group was always carrying a bag.  We rucked the Greenway until we got to the open area near the dog park.  We dropped 2 of the bags about 30-40 yds apart.  We got on one end and bear crawled to the other bag we planked and did a round of regular merkins and diamond merkins.  We bear crawled back, took off the rucks and did a round of overhead presses and bent over rows.  We lunged to the other end, found a spot on the nearby picnic table and did step ups.  We lined up at the bag for a round of squats before lunging to the other end.  We took the rucks off and did a round of curls and squat thrusts.  We bear crawled to the other end found a spot on the picnic table for urkins and dips.  We grabbed the bags and moved out.

We went by the dog park and headed toward 1st St.  Passing through the apartment complex we saw a large artificial fish with a cowboy hat on.  We always see unusual things rucking around downtown on Saturday morning.  We made a right on 1st St and headed for the Commons.  As we were rucking I was doing more talking than paying attention to my watch.  The next thing I know we are at the opposite end of the Commons at 7:55.  Luckily we made it back to the Start point right on time.  I did not get to do my finishing routine but we will save that for another time.

As usual we pushed hard and had a great workout.  There is always lots of mumble chatter during Ruck U and that’s why I enjoy it so much.  Goose was a nice addition.  Great to have him along and look forward to his participation.  See everyone next week.
