RatcheD reached out and tapped YHC for a Q op.  YHC accepted and let him pick the date.  When shared, YHC replied as long as it’s not raining because YHC has no gear for wet & cold. Well, it wasn’t raining, but it was slushy wet most everywhere.  YHC arrived to a parking lot with many of the usual suspects already there and no where in site – EC, rucking and #theclydesdales are as reliable as the gloom itself.  With time to spare YHC got the shovel flag planted and noticed an alternative route to avoid much of the slush.

0530, we circled up, welcomed a FNG, gave the disclaimer and moved to the stadium (for some fortunate reason the gates were open and we took advantage of it)

Warmups – punch jacks (IC), Mtn Climbers (IC), plank jacks (IC), arm circles (forward & reverse), good mornings, michael phelps, and jack webbs (1:4, IC, x 10:40)

The Thang: went to far side of stadium and started Route 66, 1st stop 1 burpee and then mosey around stadium, at each stop add a burpee, thus at the second stop we did 2 burpees. we wrapped around the stadium with 7 stops and carried on the route by going up the ramps to the upper deck.  Stopping at every other level we did more and more burpees.  By the time we reached the top level it was stop 11 for 11 burpees.  All in all, 66 Burpees.  Moseyed back down to ground level.

From concession stand to concession stand – 5 minute AMRAP: 5 carolina dry docks and 5 plank jacks

Then we spread out into small groups at each of the flights of stairs up into the stadium for three rounds of stairs

Finally a round of chicken peckers 10-count by each PAX

countarama/namearama/COT: covid afflicted PAX and family members (praise for those recovered/recovering and of course prayers for those in quarantine), safe, fun snow day for kids and teachers – silent prayer for all spoken and unspoken prayer concerns

Moleskin: snowy glooms are fun…not certain YHC would’ve been there had Ratched not offered the Q op.  Glad he did as it was a pleasure to share the gloom yet again with the other brothers who chose to post.  A physical challenge is often all we need…”Sometimes, if the body leads, well, the mind and heart will follow” – Walt Longmire
