It has been 1 full year since YHC joined F3 and it has truly been a blessing.  As YHC’s manniversary was coming up, YHC tried looking for a site to Q at but most of the sites were already taken by other HIMs.  However, YHC noticed The Collard Patch was still available and reached out to Rafiki.  YHC was excited to hear he could Q for today as this was the first site YHC posted to just 1 year earlier.  0530 came around, disclosure was given and it was time to…

The PAX then ran to the trailer at the end of the parking lot and came back to the picnic shelter.  We rinsed and repeated but only conducted half of the number of reps (10 reps).

After the second round the PAX moseyed to the near side field goal post.  There the PAX conducted a minute of each exercise while YHC called out certain movements:

  • Plank Walkers (Stay in Plank and move in the direction YHC calls out) (Right, Left, Forward, Backward)
  • Elevator Squats (Bottom, Middle and Top Floors)
  • Mountain Climbers with Feet Together (Short/Quick Jumps and Feet to Hands)
  • Squat Jumps with Half Turn (Stay Low and Jump High)

The PAX then ran half of the football field and came back to the field goal post.  We rinsed and repeated but only conducted each exercise for half the time (30 seconds).

After the second round the PAX moseyed to the other field goal post.  There the PAX conducted a minute of each exercise.  After 20 seconds the exercise would progressively get harder.

Moleskin

As YHC stated earlier, 1 year ago YHC posted for the first time at the Collard Patch.  At that time YHC did not know his life would change, most certainly, for the better.  YHC used to workout on his own, just to stay in shape, and felt like he was stuck in a rut.  YHC did not really have any goals set, did not get out much, nor did he really know how he wanted to continue to progress.  One day YHC’s M spoke about a group called F3 and that it stood for Fitness, Fellowship and Faith.  At the time, the one word that caught YHC’s attention was Fitness.  YHC knew he enjoyed working out and was interested in seeing how others workout.  What YHC didn’t realize he was missing in his life was Fellowship and Faith and that those two words would become more important to him than the one that drew his attention in the first place.

When YHC downloaded the F3 App and signed up with his email, Cousin IT immediately reached out to YHC and invited him to come to the Collard Patch where Cousin IT was Q’ing.  YHC enjoyed the first beatdown and the group of HIMs that were there to provide support to one another.  So, YHC posted two more times that week and, funny enough, Cousin IT was the Q each time.  As the year progressed, YHC realized the HIMs from F3 were improving his life with all three Fs.  Each one kept getting stronger and stronger.  And now, YHC is setting bigger and better goals in his life for Fitness (trying to Qualify for Boston Marathon), Fellowship (meeting and greeting with more people in the community) and Faith (working with a mentor to build my faith).

YHC would like to give shoutouts to Cousin IT for reaching out and showing what right looks like, Rafiki for believing and allowing YHC to conduct his VQ at the Collard Patch, Footloose for allowing YHC to take over the Oval Office as the site Q, Grout for putting together a team to run BRR, and all every F3 ENC HIM for continuing to push YHC in all three Fs.  F3 has changed YHC’s life for the better and YHC is very grateful/thankful for everything all of you have done for YHC.  YHC hopes F3 continues to help every HIM out there and continues to bring other HIMs to this great group.  Thank you again and have a blessed day.
