YHC has had an idea in mind for sometime for #TheCommons. Finally, decided to ask last week, but Hat Trick brought the Q. Guess asked to far in advance, so tried yesterday and landed the spot! Rode the coat-tails of Stretch’s Q because knew we would cover some miles and may not have been for everyone, but that’s a choice. Six PAX made it theirs and showed up for the following:

Warm-Up

Right Lunge Hold for Silent 10 Count
Left Lunge Hold for Silent 10 Count
Copperhead Squats 10 IC, holding for Silent 10 Count on last one

The Thang

YHC gave a brief overview that we were going to tour the County that YHC know works for. We were going down 1st, Left onto Pitt, Right onto 3rd, Left on Memorial, Right onto 5th, Left into the County Office Building/Main Campus. Throughout the distances today we were to buddy up, if you got to a light well ahead of the six, return for them and then continue one.

Once we arrived at the COB, the instruction was to run best pace to the Print Shop. Then we did Jump Squats to YHC’s Office Entrance. We then Lunged to the Curb. Ran backwards up and past Development Services. Caroike to the right towards Elections, switching sides half way. High Knees to PATS, switching to Butt Kickers half way. We then ran best pace around the building back to the Print Shop. Here Gazelle reminded the PAX that YHC is responsible for 90% of #TheCommons territory. Kind of feel like a Pioneer/Explorer…

We continued our tour by going up Hospital Road toward the Hospital, Left onto Moye, Left onto Stantonsburg, we were going to go right onto 14th till the possibility of using the bridge was decided by Bono. Felt like we were on the beach and the incline really gave you an experience like you were climbing a sand dune. We turned Left onto Evans and headed straight for the Courthouse.

We partnered up for Catch Me if You Can (2 laps) around the Courthouse. Exercise was 6 Jump Lunges. The PAX then played followed the leader/Q up and down Courthouse Stairs, then over to the Tax Collector’s Office, we did 10 American Hammers IC there (many loved the mirror affect till Gazelle’s eyes were effected by Bono’s apparell or lack thereof). Then to the Tax Assessor’s Office, we did 20 WWI Sit-ups IC there. We headed to the Sherriff’s Office, we did 30 WWII Sit-ups there till the ladies started complaining of pain. The instruction was to mosey back to the #ShovelFlag, but some knew a #JailBreak would soon be called so they took off prematurely. Unfortunately, Stretch held YHC off, but not before claiming another victory yesterday (YHC will take 2 of 3)!

A minute to spare, but not time to quit! 10 Don Quixotes IC

Awesome pace and work put in by the PAX today! Knew Gazelle and Stretch would be there, but didn’t know who else would. I am sure the other guys got their monies worth, if they didn’t I’ll glad give them a refund or exchange!

Gonna really miss Stretch. He is one of many guys that I have gotten to know good! He is really compassionate about what he does and is great at it! He’s a great family guy! He’s one of the most encouraging guys I have ever met! Thanks for all that you do and continue to do Stretch, we have been fortunate to have you and will miss you!
