Warm Up:

What’s a warm up without Side Straddle Hops, then Good Mornings, then some Merkins?  That is what we did.

The Thang:

We had some unfinished business from the last time I Q’ed the School Yard, so we had to finish that Weinke.  We ran the half mile to Memorial Baptist Church at the front where we had a nice straight parking lot with lines.  Everyone found a partner.  After a succinct and informative demonstration, everyone got to work.

Start at one ended of marked parking spaces… We did Gorilla jump over burpees…. Partner A does a hand release burpee, while partner B runs to next parking space and gets down burpee plank and holds.  Instead of a jump at end of burpee, Partner A jumps Partner B while he is still in plank position and goes to next line for a burpee plank hold until jumped by partner.

It was only 12 burpees each…. Plank for the Six…. Repeat back to the start.  Because of all whining, we did it a third time.

Business was now finished, so we ran the half mile to the track behind the school. After planking for the 6th, we did EMOM meets 4 Corners:

  1.  EMOM for 8 minutes:  10 “No Surrenders” (Thanks to Vanilla for teaching me these), then sprint to the next corner inside the track.
  2. EMOM for 8 minutes:  10 Merkins and 10 LBCs, then sprint to the next corner inside the track.

Men did great work and added an extra round for the 6th in great spirit.  We hustled back to the flag and had a little time for Patch to lead everyone in some Freddie Mercury’s before 6:15 hit us.  We got in about 2.5 miles and at least 36 Burpees, 80 “No Surrenders”, 80 Merkins, and 80 LBCs.  It doesn’t sound that bad when you type it out.

We welcomed an FNG, SuperFly, after Jimmy Snuka.  He will be a great Mumblechatter addition.  Welcome him when you see him at future work outs.
