Hot Spot and I made an agreement some time ago for a Q switcheroo for Buildup and 116. Original date was overidden by Farmville Convergence, but it all worked out. Was still riding high from the overtime victory by my Wolfpack over the Tarheels last weekend, so I decided to share my joy (not anger) with my F3 brothers. Showed up a bit early to check on status of the gates to the fields and since they were locked, made some on the fly modifications to the weinke. Wasn’t sure how many would show this morning with the snotwoggler in Farmville going on, but had 14 roll up and we were off.
Warmup: SSH, Good Mornings, & High Knees with 5 burpees for a late arrival.
The Thang: Explained to the Pax that the Wolfpack coach had explained that the team’s superior conditioning had propelled them to victory in the final minutes of the game and overtime. To celebrate this and ready ourselves for that moment when we may be called upon, anytime the Q or Pax yelled out “Overtime”, the Pax performed 1 Burpee.
Moseyed over to the corner of 3rd and Contentnea Streets. Started there with a slow jog to keep the Pax together and at every driveway on the left side of the street, we performed 5 Merkins. Variations included werkins, derkins, diamond, ranger, crucible, etc. Ran down to Fairfax Ave over to Davis Street and back to 3rd Street. As expected, shouts of “Overtime” were sprinkled in throughout the run.
Moseyed back to the parking lot of 3rd Street Academy for a modified suicide ladder with the exercises forming the word “PACK”. Ran using the signs in the parking lot as markers. In order the exercises were Plank jacks, American hammers, Copperhead squat jumps, and Kracken Burpees. Round of 5 and Round of 10 were completed.
Moseyed over to the picnic tables for some Elevens with dips at the tables and Carolina Dry Docks at the street. “Overtime” was being used liberally at this point.
Improvised with some partner alternating exercises of LBCs and Six inches for 200 reps and Mountain Climbers and Squats for 200 reps.
Moseyed over to the parking lot for a little leg work. Lunged down, backward run across, Lunged back to 3rd Street and then reversed it on the way back. Added a final Run to work the tightness out of the legs.
One final “Overtime” and back to the flag for some Mary of windshield wipers and Xs & Os.

Fun group today. Mumblechatter was lively. It was fun getting the Pax to participate in serving up the beatdown with the “Overtimes.” We all have that little extra inside when we need it. Hopefully, the Pax used some of it today.
See you soon in the gloom!
