As we rolled up to the 19th century construction to pick up the man that we would soon call Hercules, it appeared from the gloom.  It’s eyes were glowing bright yellow, drool pouring from it’s muzzle, and standing at least 5 feet tall.  My initial thought was “I’m glad I’m in this car.” String bean’s initial thought was “let’s see if we can make friends with it”.  As Bean rolled down his window to greet the massive beast, it let out a terrible bark and we were sure that any minute it would join us in the car.  Hercules reassured us that ole Charlie would hurt a fly but I’m glad we didn’t have to find out for sure.

Making our way to the AO, nearly eaten by a 175 lb Rottweiler, we saw the sun coming up over the water.  This is truly a majestic AO and I’m sure that Washington has one of the most picturesque homes for a good ole fashioned beat down.  The men rolled up and the bell rang at 7 am sharply.  This is how it went down.

Mary  – in Cadence

  • Rosenberger, Speedo, Novocaine, and Enron joined me in the middle to show the PAX how to count. The key is to get the sequence right the first time and if you don’t, screw it up so bad that you make sure that you do it right the second time  These guys all did a great job.
  • Merkins

COT/BOM

  • Points – Importance of ending on time and COT and BOM

I also royally screwed up the order of the close.  We went backwards and required help from String Bean on recording and taking pictures.  Fail hard, learn hard, and get better.

Moleskin

I had a fantastic time today meeting the men of Washington.  I have no doubt that these men will be successful in growing F3 in Washington.  TClaps to Mayhem for all of his efforts in ensuring a successful launch in Washington as well as the ENC men that will continue to support these guys as they fly on their own.  TClaps to the men of Washington that have been showing up and I expect will rise as leaders.  I heard some good cadence today from Novocaine, Rosenberger, Enron, and Speedo and I got a chance to have some good conversation with Baguette, Duct Tape, Novocaine, Enron, Dunder Mifflin, and Kickball.  I hope to get to know the rest of you guys and see you at some CSAUPs real soon.
