Several PAX gathered for an EC ruck around the church, and a few more joined right around 0510. It had rained the day/night before, making parts of the workout pretty interesting. 0515 hit, and it went something like this:

Warm Up

  • Good mornings – 10 – IC
  • SSH – 10 – IC
  • Michael Phelps – 10 – IC
  • Lap around the church

Tha Thang

Mosey to the playground, luckily the center of the playground was dry. We completed a 10 minute AMRAP of Cindy

  • 5 pull ups
  • 10 merkins
  • 15 squats
  • AMRAP

Next, we moseyed to the center alley at the middle of the church where YHC strategically placed 2 sandbags during EC. YHC divided the pax into two teams, counting off by 1s and 2s. Each team would start off with 1 PAX picking up a sandbank, and tossing the sandbag to the edge of the road and back. While the sandbag is being tossed, the rest of the team will be in the BTTW position. When the sandbag returns, the next PAX in line would take his turn. We would repeat this until all PAX had a chance to do the sandbag toss, and the teams alternated BTTW and Peoples Chair

Next, we played a little “Catch Me If You Can:, with a twist. 2 Pax would grab the sandbags and take off running (or mosey), while the remaining PAX ran in the opposite direction around the church until they met up with the PAX with the sandbags. Everyone would then perform 15 squats in cadence, and then the next 2 PAX would grab the sandbags. Rinse and repeat until all PAX had a turn with the sandbag.

With 8 minutes left on the clock, YHC instructed we would mosey back to the playground for one last round of Cindy (plan was to do 20 total minutes, with 10 at the start and 10 at the end). Stabler, Grammar, and Patch had other plans. While we were doing our exercises, Stabler got the idea to bear crawl through this rather large water puddle. Grammar and Patch joined in on the fun.

0615 hit, and we were back at the flag

It’s always good to be back in the gloom, especially when one hasn’t been in the gloom in a while. YHC has had a tough schedule at home in the mornings with the kids (and honestly I’ve just been lazy), so I mew one way to get me back out here was to sign up to Q. Also, kudos to Doodledog diving in head first into F3. He posted 5 days in a row in his first week! Good work! Until next time…..

Chimi Out!
