YHC received a surprise call from an old PAX about a coupon last week. Was too good of an offer to refuse, but not sure on how to get said coupon. Didn’t want to leave it with Tool for an extended period, so made the decision to go get it. He was to load it onto my truck via forklift. It got in the truck and then toppled out the other side. We (including his brother) decided just to lift it in the truck. Then found out about Wapner doing his VQ and wanted to support him, but had to get this tire out of my truck. Contacted Wimpie to see what the arrangements were for Friday. He thought the call was to crack the whip on him again about last weeks backblast (yes, he finally got it done). Told him that he would be picked up at 0500 to help unload said coupon. We got all the way to BLP and out of the truck till he noticed the tire. He was looking inside the truck on the way there trying to figure out what the coupon was. We did a test to determine if it would be best for teams of 2 or 3. We ran back over the tire tracks where we left the tire. We were there plenty early, the goal was to beat Bookworm there. He must have seen the coupon in the truck and went against his judgement (for better or worse). Began to think that Wimpie and YHC would be worn out from the tire work by ourselves. Soon 10 other PAX showed and was time to get it started.

Warm-up

15 Bean Pickers IC
15 Copperhead Squats IC

The Thang

Separated the PAX by age, just as another car was pulling up. This threw my plan off and the groups had 4 in them, but only needed 3 (too early for math). We moseyed to the backstop near the shelter. We held Peoples Chair till the six arrived and started a 20 count. The six in this case was Skeet, who arrived just in time for our departure.

The PAX eyes all grew the size of the tire when they saw it.

YHC reseparated the group into 3’s, minus my group of 4.

One group would flip the tire around 2 bases.
Next did Alternating Jummp Lunges.
Next did Crunchy Frogs.
Last did Burpees.
The group flipping the tire would be the timer and we rotated through.

We moseyed to the shelter.
PAX followed the Q for Super Duper Step-ups around the shelter.
Side Straddle Hop for the six.
15 Irkins IC.
15 Picnic Table Sit-ups IC.
15 Dips IC.

We moseyed back to the backstop.
PAX held Balls to the Wall for the Six till the six arrived and started a 20 count. The six in this case was Lachey, he became a little distorted and forgot how to count. He was unsure where to start.

One group would flip the tire around 2 bases.
Next did Jummp Squats.
Next did 90 Degree Crunches.
Last did Donkey Kicks.
The group flipping the tire would be the timer and we rotated through.

We moseyed to the playground for 4 corners.
10 Derkins on benches.
10 Pull-ups.
10 Curb Jumps.
10 Swerkins.

We moseyed back to the backstop.

One group would flip the tire around 2 bases.
Next did Up Downs.
Next did Wide Leg Sit-ups.
Last did Merkins.
The group flipping the tire would be the timer and we rotated through.

The PAX then did an Indian Walk with the tire with their group to put it behind the backstop.

We then moseyed back to the #ShovelFlag.

We held Plank for the six.
We went right into Makhtar N’Diayes when the six arrived (15 IC).

Many events are coming up soon, none more important then #TheSasquatch.

Wore my Good Samritan 5K / Crossfit 5K Shirt to advertise their upcoming event on 10/8. Early Bird registration till end of month (Early Bird won’t be there though, has another event this time).

Backwoods Beast on 10/15.

Goose Greek Trail Race on 11/19.

All of these events are local and good way to get involved. Also, good way to get more FNG’s.

Moleskin

I was really excited to get the tire. I was even more excited to get it out of my truck. Didn’t want it come out of my truck and slay a multitude of people while in transit. I did want it to slay the PAX during the workout, only for them to be revived and be #HIM!

The workout allowed for some #MumbleChatter at times. I won’t mention any names, but you know you are and so do the others that were there!

It was a great number of guys that put some work in with the tire. It will hopefully stay at BLP and you could see it again very soon…
