Easter Sunrise Service at the Town Commons.

F3 Family Style.

A tradition is born.

About 30 folks showed up on Easter morning bright and early to workout, attend the Sunrise Service, or both. It was a little cloudy, a little cool, but just right for a powerful F3 Family Event.

Shrimp and String Bean were assigned as the workout Q’s and Charlie Brown stepped up as the Preacher-man Q.

Flags were planted, 6:00 struck, and The PAX circled up around one of the cannons on the Commons and the workout began.

It went something like this.

Mosey up to the shovel flags for a wonderful sunrise service laid out by our very own Charlie Brown.

Shrimp’s parents came down from out of town. A few other M’s and folks showed up as well as the service began. We had a nice group of about 30 or so.

Amazing Grace and Jesus Loves Me sing along was led by YHC on the guitar.

Charlie Brown’s message was very powerful and dead on. The meat of the message was the term “Restoration of Innocence” How Jesus dying on the cross gave us the chance to become a new creation and walk in freedom, holding a hope in Heaven that can not be taken away! Amen!

At the end of the service, Charlie Brown invited anyone and everyone to share a testimony or story or anything that might be on their hearts. Gazelle shared. String Bean shared. Shrimp shared. Charlie Brown shared. Then an older lady dressed to the nines in the back of the circle spoke out and said, “I have something to share”

Her name was Miss Betty. She had been coming down to the Town Commons for many, many years to have a sunrise service / time of reflection with her mother. It was their tradition. Her mother recently passed away and she decided to get dressed up and come on down to the TC by herself to spend some time with the Lord and keep the tradition alive. Little did she know that she would find us. Little did we know that we would find her. It was beautiful and played out just like the Good Lord would have it. YHC believes that Miss Betty’s mom was smiling down on us that day. It is safe to say that a new tradition has been born. Happy Easter brothers!

YHC would love for Shrimp and Charlie Brown and anyone else to reflect on this special service that went down…

Much love to F3 ENC Crossbones Nation!
