YHC posted at #MASH last week under a Bambino Q and got a solid beatdown. Afterwards he put out there he was looking for Qs, YHC stepped up and took today. Showed up around 05:15, saw Bling Bling in the parking lot waiting. We chatted for a while. Hot Pursuit had already planted the #SF and was having some EC Prayer time. The rest of the Pax rolled in and at 05:30 we were off with 8 strong.

The Thang

Mosey to Mount Murphy for some modified DORA. Partner A ran up and down the stairs, partner B does exercises, continue to switch until all rounds are complete.

  • 20 – Burpees
  • 40 – Back Lunges
  • 60 – Star Fish Crunches

Mosey to gate by Elmhurst with stone benches. Keep same partners. Partner A would do exercises while partner B would be on the wall. When partner A finishes, come relieve partner B and switch.

  • Exercise 1 – 25 Box Jumps and Balls to the Wall
  • Exercise 2 – 20 Foot Released Squats and Peoples Chair
  • Exercise 3 – 15 Derkins and Balls to the Wall

Mosey to street light near us on Stadium Drive. Looking down towards 14th Street, there were 2 more street lights, one set of railroad track and then 14th Street; these would be our destinations in the upcoming exercises.

At starting point, complete 5 reps of the exercises, run at a slow sprint or really fast mosey to next stopping point, complete 10 reps of the same exercises then run back to the starting point.

Moleskin

Yesterday at church, Roll Call preached about where to hide in order to be found. He read scripture from John 1: 35-51 where the disciples were following Jesus and upon them continuing to ask questions to Jesus about where he was going and what he was doing, his response was “Come and See”. That was the title of the sermon yesterday, Come and See. I listened yesterday but couldn’t help but think about F3 during that message. What we do out here and what is accomplished out here is extremely hard to describe to people on the streets in everyday life. When headlocking someone and trying to make them a believer in what we’re doing at 5:30 am each morning, what better way to put it that than? Come and See. Who knows what tomorrow’s Q at Ruck Ready, Run Strong or The Sandlot has in store, you’ll just have to come and see ….
