Tower of Power

Bambino asked to me Q asked me to Q a couple of weeks ago.  It was time that I did.  I haven’t since I started my job back in June.  I’ve been a little hesitant to commit to anything knowing I have a fluid schedule that tends change at a moments notice.  However, I’m comfortable enough to wing it now if I have to.

As 5;30 approached I was happy to see a number of Pax that I haven’t seen in a while especially on a Monday morning.  It was really good to see Hot Pursuit, it being the first time i’ve seen him out since his surgery.  As Cold Cut and Splinter arrived I began to get a little nervous knowing that what I had planned probably wasn’t going to work for them.  To my relief  Hot Pursuit assured me that he was just there to walk as Cold Cut, Splinter and even Past Due said they would be joining him.

For the warm up we stretched it out Right over Left, Left over Right, spread our legs and down on right, middle, and left  for a 10 count each.  Then we followed up with a 10 count of side straddle hops and good mornings

The Thang:

Always appreciating a simple but robust workout on a Monday morning I didn’t want to disappoint.  The four remaining Pax and myself took a little stroll up to Berkley to 14th down to Rock Springs and over the science building’s outside stairs. There we did a reverse a ladder starting out with 6 burpees and ascending one flight of stairs and back down to do 5 burpees then ascending 2 flights of stairs and back down to do 4 burpees then ascending 3 flights of stairs and likewise until we reached the top.  My calculations were off however, I had figured by the time we reached the top we would be at just 1 burpee, we were at 2.  Anyhow  no sooner than the regret of what I had conjured up for myself and Pax had set in…it was over.  With still 15 minutes to go we made our way over to the lower college hill lot for a  quick round of 7’s with Merkins and Squats.  Before I knew it , 7:15 had approached and we made our way qucikishly up the hill and back to the flag.

Prayer request:

Jeff Stevens operation yesterday to remove tumors on liver.  Past Due’s wife had procedure down yesterday as well, ask for prayers for him and the wife also.  General calm this week for Tiny Beers.  Cold Cut’s brother Jimmy just found out he has tumors on his lung.  Tammy Elliot 3 weeks in coma.  Spinters 2019 budgets due this week.  King Pin doing well.   Hot Pursuit has follow-up next week for right shoulder.
