Blue Ridge is right around the corner. At the Oval Office we have been gradually increasing the threshold (hard running) distance. We started off with 400m repeats, then 800m, then 1200m and then the last two weeks we ran 1600m (1-Mile) repeats. This week we wanted to taper down (or so we thought) so as to not hurt ourselves just a few weeks before Blue Ridge. The plan seemed solid, but what we didn’t plan for was the humidity. It was absolutely thick and caused a lot of heavy breathing/sweating… and this was all before we started the beatdown. 0530 came about and it was time to…

It was the first time in a long time YHC wanted to throw up during a beatdown… A lot of the PAX seemed to feel the same way. No one did but you could tell the PAX pushed themselves to their limits.

In the past three weeks, the Oval Office has seen at least four PRs set, one FNG, and a few PAX who have not been to the Oval in a while. It is really great to see PAX breaking their 1-mile PRs and really pushing themselves to their limits. Keep up the great work, everyone, and YHC hopes to see more and more PRs set and more PAX coming to the Oval as we continue through this unpredictable year. Have a blessed day.
