While pondering what to do for the workout this week I remembered that we have not visited Death Valley in a while.  So I decided that I wanted to include that and for the last few weeks we had grabbed our sandbags and immediately started to move out. I wanted to do a small warm up before we hit the main workout.

We circled up on the grass at the Commons.  We started with:

15 merkins

15 squats

15 flutters w/ rucks overhead

15 sit ups with the ruck on your chest

We then lined up shoulder to shoulder lifted our rucks over our heads and walked up the hill to the sidewalk and back down.  We got to the bottom of the hill we held our rucks over our heads for the 6.  When the 6 arrived we grabbed the 80lb and two 60lb sand bags and headed to Death Valley.

When we arrived at Death Valley we dropped the bags to begin 2 rounds of 7s.

First round:  merkins and plank jacks. Flutter kicks for the 6

We grabbed the sandbags headed towards campus.  Three new pax got under the bags than the pax that carried them to Death Valley.

We got to campus and rucked under the musical arch.  We got to the new circle area and circled up.  Bush lead 2 exercises.  First was mountain climbers, 2nd was overhead hand claps.  Those were much tougher than expected and will be seen again soon.  Mellow Johnny led us in set of Peter Parkers and sumo squats.  Time to get the sand bags and head back to the commons.  New pax under the bags.  I wanted everyone at the workout to get some time under the sandbags.

We got back to the commons and circled up for one round of merkins to end a solid workout.  We had the count off and namorama.  No FNGs today.  Thanks to Bush and Mellow Johnny for contributing to the workout.  We prayed for safe travels for Early Bird’s sister and quick and safe healing for Sarge’s son.
