Grammar asked YHC to swap Q dates at take Monday the 15th instead of the 21st.  Excuses started flooding my mind at the thought as YHC had  been out of town for a week with little exercise opportunity, and had intended to do some serious “ramp up” the week prior to the original date, that the 15th was a holiday, and on and on and on.  As my internal mumblechatter reached a peak, my fingers were already typing the acceptance of the switch proposal.  It is what we do in F3…. fight the excuses, fight the resistance…… help our brothers……. get on with it!  I had only been at the Collard Patch once before, but was impressed by the expanse of the park and the many options it affords a Q.  Went to work on the weinke and started a regular stream of taunts and challenges on the twittermachine to try and coax some PAX out of the fart sack on a cold holiday Monday in Ayden.  Arrived on site a few minutes prior and put out some PAX direction signage in one of the areas.  Bookworm pulled up with two of his 2.0’s in the vehicle.  Bedpan rolled in, then Abu with the STB flag, and we started.  Looked like it was going to be a small group, but AFTER the clock had struck, two more PAX pulled up and jumped into the mix.  I won’t mention any names so as not to subject them to Mayhem comparisons (Mr. Belding and Cousin IT), but maybe you can figure it out.

COT:  Count a Rama; Name a Rama; Prayer Requests

Moleskin:  YHC closed out with prayer and reflections on the contributions of Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. and our call to continue to serve our fellow man and seek equal treatment for all.  Great time in the gloom with some fantastic men, and a super opportunity to once again see what a great AO the Collard Patch is with all of the parking lots, fields, and running path with lights.  During the COT, we received some excellent reflections from Abu on the power of being honest with ourselves, admitting/confessing sins or wrongs, and resetting priorities periodically.  Didn’t have enough Run Strong PAX to seize the STB flag, so it says at the Collard Patch.  YHC enjoyed the workout and the impromptu coffeteria at nearby Bums where Mr. Belding ordered up a manly two-plate sampler fit for a king.  HP out.

Coffeteria:  Bum’s, Ayden
