I pulled up at Paramore Park at 5:20am and thought I might have to go Hans Solo today in honor of Carrie Fisher’s passing. However, seven other PAX pulled in just before 5:30am and the Force was with me! Ok, that’s enough corny ass Star Wars humor…

In case you were wondering, Spin Cycle was unable to attend today’s workout due to his court ordered sensitivity training. Today he said he learned from his sensitivity training instructor (who happens to be a rather large woman) that calling another man a fluffy pu$$y (even during a workout) is not typically socially acceptable. Way to go Spin Cycle! We can’t wait for the creative verbal substitutes that your instructor recommends instead.

But I digress. The point here is that since I was given the privilege of Q’ing, I wanted to stay in my lane bring a little bit of #BoydLeeBeatdown flavor to the workout. I wrote out the following on a whiteboard and it looked manageable. Note to self; back-to-back HERO WODS are never manageable…

The Thang

Workout 1: “Mini” Hansen HERO WOD (15 minute time cap)

15 KB Swings
15 Burpees
15 WW2 Sit Ups

Workout 2: THE SEVEN HERO WOD

7 Rounds for Time
7 Carolina Dry Dock
7 KB Thrusters
7 Hanging Knees to Elbows
7 KB Push Press (weak arm only – every round)
7 Burpees
7 KB Swings
7 Pull Ups

Prayer Requests (in addition to running list)
Stitches family dog Petey – cancer diagnosis
Dewey and M as they will be finding out the baby’s gender in the next couple of weeks

I got nothing because there was ABSOLUTELY NO MUMBLECHATTER. You guys put in max effort this morning and it showed. I am extremely blessed to workout beside you and extremely impressed at the work put in. This was a 45 minute grind-fest with only a three minute rest in between workouts.

Be proud of your accomplishments, appropriately refuel and hydrate today, recover and let’s do this again sometime!
