We decided to do an out and back route just to be sure to not get caught up in any traffic in the dark again — last time YHC Q’d, there was a bunch of shots fired in the Bless Your Heart section of the paper lol. So we wanted to avoid that drama again. And then Tonka had to go to bat for his boys with a rebuttal. It was all good in the end, but we decided to stick with a fairly simple and easy route today to Sam Jones and back. Kudos to Arkansas for a pace that was on fire for his 5 miler — keeping up and challenging Grout. Tonka and Half Pipe pushed hard with their engines too, as it was HP’s first run after his monumental 100 miler. Cousin It was strong and consistent and fast. Floater, Duff and YHC kept a solid pace for 5-6 miles with good mumblechatter too. And hats off to Madoff for solid and steady and consistent gains over these past few weeks!
All in all, a great misty morning with the guys through the streets of Winterville, enjoying the calm before the day starts, in fellowship and support.
