Yhc showed up early to set up for a very special #Warrior Wednesday workout. I started by marking off 22 yards from Shovel flag to Shovel flag flying both the American flag and the POW/MIA flag. I also posted a list of 11 exercises on each shovel flag. As the Pax started rolling into the parking lot, I got out of my truck hoping I would have a good turn out which we ended up with 10 Pax in all. At 0530 I called the Pax in to a circle to start the warm up.

The Thang

The Pax moved to where Yhc had planted shovel flags.

YHC directed Pax that we were going to partner carry the 22 Yards from shovel flag to shovel flag rotating partners after each carry and after the exercise that correspond to the number of carry. Each partner ended up doing 11 partner carries for a total of 22 carries. After each partner carry both partners did 11 repetitions of the exercise that corresponded with the partner carry, for a total of 22 repetitions for the partners. Before we started the partner carry I gave a the reasoning behind this workout. The number 22 is the number of U. S. Veterans who take their own life everyday, if 1 Veteran takes their life a day that is 1 too many but 22 is unacceptable and the VA is not doing anything but pumping Veterans full of drugs. The number 11 is important because at the 11th hour on the 11th day of the 11th month in 1918 the Armistice was signed ending World War 1. After World War 2, WW2 Veterans wanted a day recognizing their accomplishments so November 11 was chanced from Armistice Day to Veterans Day.

The list of exercises on the American flag are as follows.

Clurpee

Diamond Merkins

Finger Tip Merkins

Knuckles Merkins
