On the way to tennis yesterday I called my brother to see if he would be interested in Qing BoydLeeBeatdown from afar by sending me a workout that YHC would lead and then we’d FaceTime after so he could be a part of the COT. He jumped at the opportunity and was thankful for it. He’s been to one F3 workout before, BoydLeeBeatdown on 6/22/19, where he VQed as an FNG and got the name Magic Mike. Cold-Cut was the only one there this morning that was a part of that beatdown back in 2019 and remembered it well.

Magic Mike sent me three options to choose from and I chose option 1. Here’s how it went down.

EMOM 4 Burpees (start each minute with 4 burpees)

 

To keep the PAX together, we did the entire thing in cadence. This also allowed me to pause and instruct when needed, which was helpful and appreciated. Kettlebells are an incredible piece of fitness equipment with a ton of benefits but can cause injury if not used correctly. Technique is paramount.

Magic Mike did the Devil’s Presses and Reverse Lunges with 2 50s. We only had one and it was hard enough. YHC also modified the reps for Devil’s Presses to 50 for the sake of time and wanting to hit the Buy Out.

It was cool to FaceTime my bro afterward in the COT. I called him on the way to Bagel Man and he said it was really cool to be a part of it.

We had some new faces out there this morning, which was so great to see. Boyd Lee Beatdown is accelerating for sure. Come check us out next week.
