During some excellent 2nd F at the Blacken Kracken yesterday, Quicklube asked YHC if I would like to Q tomorrow.  My answer was no, but for no real good reason.  As soon as I got in the car to leave, I realized I couldn’t resist the chance and reached out to him to let him know that I would do it.  Half the PAX was there when I arrived and the other half arrived soon thereafter.  Hands were shaked, a flag was planted, and we got down to business.

The Thang

  • 15 IC Good Mornings
  • 15 Copperhead Squats
  • 15 SSH
    • (Thanks Lachey and the peanut gallery for your enthusiasm during warmup this morning)

Mosey to the Playground for 10 pullups and then mosey to the sandlot for some F3 Baseball

The PAX was divided into 4 teams and each team was assigned a base with a particular exercise.  The total reps per team depended on your team size (number of PAX x 15).  Split the reps how you wish.  First team to 4 full rotations around the bases wins and stops the clock.

  • 1st Base – Reverse LBCs (A couple of guys were holding hands when I told them to go to 1st base but they quickly realized that I meant something different)
  • 2nd Base – Jump Squats
  • 3rd Base – SSH
  • Home – Burpees

Team Hyster-Yale picked up the win but it was a very close race.

Mosey to the Soccer Goals for 10 Rounds with Tyson.  I just kind of lucked out with the soccer goals being set up with cones in the middle.  I knew we were going to do 10 rounds with Tyson but I wasn’t sure where we would do it.  Fortunately, it was already set up for us.  10 reps in the middle, 10 reps at the end, 10 reps in the middle, back to the start and plank for the six.

  1. LBCs
  2. Squats
  3. HR Merkins
  4. Flutter Kicks (4 count)
  5. Reverse Lunges (1 leg one rep)
  6. Ranger Merkins
  7. WW1 Situps
  8. Agitators
  9. SSH
  10. Merkins headed back towards the flag

Moleskin

We did a lot of good reps today and I was very impressed with the work that the PAX put in.  The 2.0s were on fire this morning.  The Grass was high and the ground was wet so we all came out looking like we were put through the grinder today.  It is always a pleasure to serve the pax by Qing.  We had a lot of laughs this morning, a few confusing instructions on my part, and a solid workout.  Zucker has his VQ at Buildup next week and Nice Body has his VQ at Runstrong.  Both, I’m sure will be challenging and fun.
